Todd Rothenhaus, MD
Dr. Rothenhaus served as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President at athenahealth, Inc. from April, 2011 to September, 2017. Dr. Rothenhaus was a nationally recognized expert on the implementation of electronic health record systems and the use of information technology in support of effective and accountable care. Prior to joining athenahealth, Dr. Rothenhaus was Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Steward Health Care (formerly the Caritas Christi), the second largest health system in New England. Previously, Dr. Rothenhaus served as an attending physician in Boston’s busiest emergency department and trauma center and Medical Director of the Newton Emergency Department of the Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Rothenhaus graduated from the Tulane University school of Engineering and completed medical school, internship, and residency at the George Washington University.
